More updates + progress stuff

 Ok, so I kinda took a break from doing any work on Venti for the most part. I do plan to debut him probably sometime next year.

In the meantime, I've been slowly working on Kagome's priestess outfit. I originally planned on buying it, but noticed I had the materials to make it, so I started on that. I'm currently working on the hakama/pants. They're more or less almost done.

I didn't take a photo of the pants themselves, but will have a photo of them once they're all done. ^^

Also Stocktoncon is coming up in less than a month, and I have my plans all ready for it:

Kagome has been planned for a while for this con, since I really miss cosplaying her, but I recently had to change from a previous plan to Mikoto Misaka. Thing is, they got her voice actor(english) as a guest. Plus, I had this cosplay done for almost a year and need to wear it to an event still, so I think this will be the perfect time to! :3 I just need to iron out a couple things on the outfit, and it'll be all set!

An Update on Venti

 Ok, so I have some updates on my Venti cosplay.

I ended up buying the outfit because I was puzzled on a few things when it came to brainstorming on how to make the outfit. So, I ordered it instead.

I am, however, still making the lyre and Windblume Ode(well, maybe, I might change my mind on what bow to make, but we will see).

I also need to fix the wig.

Current Cosplay Plans

 Ok, so I know conventions are still not happening for a while but honestly that's for the better. It's not safe to have them yet(eventhough SOME conventions still wanna happen regardless), but meanwhile I'm still working on cosplay plans and such.

I have almost finished Kairi's KH2 dress, I just need to line it and it'll be done. I also have to paint her shoes.

I have finally started a Barnaby cosplay from Tiger & Bunny. I did cosplay him once for SacAnime years ago but that was his red suit. I'm finally gonna do his default attire.

I also finally purchased pants for Marinette from Miraculous Ladybug, so now I just need to make her bag and do a couple other slight alterations and she'll be done.

As for what I haven't really started on yet but have planned, I will likely be starting work on Venti from Genshin Impact soon:

Right now I just have his wig done, which all I had to do was add two teal hair extensions to my short navy wig. At first I wasn't gonna make his outfit, but I thought it would be a fun challenge, and I can take my time with it since there won't be any conventions soon. And I already found a pattern for puffy shorts and it looks pretty simple enough for me to tackle. :) I hope to get the green fabric soon-ish, will keep you all updated! I think I might be able to start on his brown vest/corset since I do have a brown vest to work off of. I might also start his lyre and bow soon, I plan to make the Windblume Ode for him. ^^

So....... update

 Okay, so I have decided to put most of my cosplay plans on hold for now because of the lack of conventions and because I want to cut back on the number of cosplays I have and am working on. I am determined to have KH3 Kairi finished soon and once that is done I will probably take a break from working on cosplays.

I do want to go back to Utatane Piko and finally get him finished, so I might do that after Kairi is done. I also want to work on Ignis(FFXV) as well since I will be part of an FFXV group for Fanime next year.

Of course, I will be working on other versions of Kairi. I have realized that I have most of what I need to make Dead Fantasy Kairi, which I have had planned for a while:

I even have pretty much all of the materials I need to make the Oblivion Keyblade. I am not going to be making both keyblades unfortunately and will only have the one when I cosplay this, but that's really ok with me. And if I want to wield dual keyblades, I can always have Destiny's Embrace with me as well. The only thing I really need to get still is a new KH2 Kairi wig.

So I am excited to start this. I will probably start working on it soon, but not til I finish KH3 Kairi. What I'm thinking is I might start with the keyblade and go from there.

But anyway, I might be optimistic in saying this, but if the Cherry Blossom Festival gets to happen next year, I might wear this version of Kairi for the parade. I was going to this year since ten years ago for the parade I did KH2 Kairi, but the event was sadly cancelled. Of course, I understand why and everything, but was still bummed nonetheless.

Either way, I will have this done for at least Fanime, or maybe even AX. We shall see.

Kairi Update and Other Things

 Alright, so I have made great progress on the keyblade over the past week and a half or so, and I finally have the top pieces attached to the keyblade!

So the keyblade is very close to being done. I just need to make the bottom piece(s) and then it'll be complete! I'm really satisfied with how it looks so far. I've now started making the bottom pieces and should have them done soon.

Anyway, I went to Joanns yesterday to get a few things, and I browsed the remnants section and found some white fabric, I decided to grab it cause why not, and I might end up using it for White Mage Refia. Now, it's only a half a yard of fabric, so it'll work for only a portion of the cosplay, but I don't mind as I am not going to be starting it anytime soon. But it is nice to know I have some fabric for it, and if I do decide to use it for that, I can easily go and grab more of that fabric, hopefully.

Anyway, I'll have pictures of the finished keyblade soon!

Kairi Stuff

 Hey everyone! So while I will be doing a few things for Refia, I am going to keep White Mage Refia on hold for now. But my plans for that are still set, just I feel it would be too much to try and make anything for that right now or anytime soon.

For now I am going to keep my focus on getting KH3 Kairi done and maybe work on getting her KH1 outfit done. That one has been in planning for so long that I feel like finally getting that done!

I mean, I have the wig finally, and the fabric to make the skirt, and the black undershirt. I think I might also have what I need to make the armbands too. Oh, I also have her choker as well. And the pendant for her necklace(which I need to still make....)

What I still need to do are her white tank top and the purple belt. And to also paint the shoes. Or rather, get the old paint off of them(because what I originally was using them for didn't quite work out.... ^^; ) I have what I need for the bracelets I think.

So yeah, maybe once I finish my keyblade I'll start work on KH1 Kairi and also go back to finishing KH3 Kairi's outfit.

WM Refia Rune Staff Planning

 Alright, so I have been digging around and looking at pictures of the Rune Staff and I noticed how it appears in multiple Final Fantasys, and in each of them it looks different. However, for III specifically it is hard to get a good reference of it. So after looking at different pictures from different games and whatnot, I have decided to make this one in particular:

This is a really good reference and I can see all the details on it. I also prefer this design personally. I think it will go really well with White Mage Refia. Now I just need to plan out how I'm going to make it, mainly the top part and bottom part.

On a different note, I hope to be starting work on Freelancer Refia again soon. I will be doing that after I finish a couple pieces on Kairi's keyblade.
